COURSE OVERVIEW

The BSc (Hons) Project Management degree gives you the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of project management practices and professional standards recognised across global industries. Through a blend of theoretical learning and industry-relevant practical assessments, you’ll gain skills in planning, execution, risk management, team leadership, digital tools, and agile methodologies. Accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM), this course enables you to stand out to employers and prepares you for roles in sectors such as business, technology, healthcare, construction, events, and more.

COURSE DETAILS

What You’ll Learn:

  • Core principles of project management from initiation to completion

  • Methods for effective project planning, control, and change management

  • Agile and hybrid delivery techniques

  • Digital skills, including AI and data analytics in project contexts

  • Leadership, quality assurance, and risk management strategies

  • Real-world application through case studies and hands-on assessments

Modules Include:
Level 4: Business research, project principles, governance, procurement, introduction to project management, elective options
Level 5: Advanced project management, agile approaches, project planning & justification, AI & big data analytics
Level 6: Project change & control, quality management, risk & issue management, people development, final project with industry-based assessment

Assessment Approach:
Assessments are designed to match real-world industry scenarios rather than formal exams, so you’ll work on project plans, risk assessments, strategies, portfolios, presentations, and a major final project that demonstrates your practical competence.

Academic Entry:

  • Usually 2 subjects at GCE A-Level or equivalent, plus passes in three GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications

  • Applicants without traditional qualifications may be considered based on relevant work experience (minimum 2 years) with a personal statement and references

English Language (for international students):

  • IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in any element) or equivalent accepted English proficiency evidence

Technical Needs:

  • A laptop or desktop computer with reliable internet access for online learning and assignment submission
